Happy Release Day

Dr. Dre- The Chronic December 15, 1992

What Dre did to rap music changed the landscape of the game forever. That west coast influence was so strong that my pops built a drop top just like the one from the "Let Me Ride" video. I still remember riding shotgun in that candy painted purple & gold  64 Impala listening to this CD.  I was always amazed by it from the skits & slang down to the chronic leaf on the actual disc. I thought it was genius! With the cover being a recreation from the zig zag rolling papers, you can see where I get it from with always recreating classic album art for my own music. This album was released on December 15, 1992 & it is still used a blue print on record construction today. One of my biggest memories of this record is having an original 1992 copy inside a CD player that was stolen from my locker in the 7th grade. I didn't give a damn about the CD player, hell I probably stole borrowed at least 100 of them from walmart to resell lol. I wanted my record back & while hunting down another 1992 copy it turned me into a collector of original releases of classic CDs (Im also into collecting original releases of books but thats another story). You can keep your digital remasters, I enjoy the hunt for these rare jewels. I want to thank everybody that played a part in this album & wish it a Happy Release Day.
